The Way of the Exploding Fist is a fighting game based on karate. It is the only Australian game to win Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards.
Way of the Exploding Fist was developed by Beam Software. They also produced the popular Hungry Horace series. In addition to making games, Beam gained the licensing rights to the popular book, The Hobbit.
The Hobbit was a success, reaching number one in Europe in 1982. It was nominated for Game of the Year and was then bought by Midway in August 2005.
The way of the exploding fist is a two-dimensional fighting game. A player can play against a computer or another person. The game has four arenas.
